There’s no shortage of things to do in Montclair this weekend, and we want to make sure you know about all of it. From World Cup watch parties at Lackawanna Station to a Caribbean dance workout on Valley Road, the town is alive this June 20-21.

Summer of Soccer at Lackawanna Station

The World Cup is deep into the group stage, and if you haven’t made it to Lackawanna Station yet, this weekend is a great time to go.
This weekend alone, the schedule is packed: Saturday brings Netherlands v. Sweden at 1 p.m., Germany v. Ivory Coast at 4 p.m. and a Family Game Watch Party with Latinos of Montclair from 7 to 10 p.m., complete with a live DJ and kids’ soccer clinics led by certified instructors, followed by the Ecuador vs Curaçao match at 8 p.m. Sunday features Spain v. Saudi Arabia at noon; Belgium v. Iran at 3 p.m; Uruguay v Cape Verde at 6 p.m.; and New Zealand v. Egypt at 9 p.m.

LGBTQ+ Indoor Rock Climbing Night at Gravity Vault

Tonight is a great one for the LGBTQ+ community and climbing-curious alike. Out & Active, the North Jersey-based LGBT Meetup group, is hosting its monthly bouldering night at Gravity Vault Montclair. It’s a high-energy, one-hour class that blends Caribbean rhythms with a full-body workout, and no prior dance experience is required. Just bring energy. It’s a genuinely fun way to spend a Saturday morning, and Beyond The Boogie is one of Montclair’s most vibrant studio spaces.

Cats in the Garden Jaguar Show at Van Vleck House & Gardens

Every Father’s Day, the Jaguar Touring Club of New Jersey rolls its cars onto the grounds of Van Vleck House & Gardens, and it draws a crowd every time. Classic and contemporary Jaguars fill one of Montclair’s most beautiful outdoor spaces for an afternoon that works equally well for the car enthusiast in your family and anyone who just wants a reason to be outside. No registration needed, just show up with $10 cash. Kids under 10 get in free. Rain date is Sunday, June 28.

Loving Me: Breathwork & Sound Healing

For those looking to start Father’s Day Sunday with some stillness, this is the one. HealYourLovePeriod is hosting a two-and-a-half-hour session of breathwork, sound healing, guided reflection, journaling and group sharing at The Space on Bloomfield Avenue. It’s designed as a community wellness experience, a place to release stress and anxiety and reconnect with yourself. Doors open at 9:15 a.m. Ages 18 and up.
